Interactive clinical education
Build clinical judgment, not just content.
PreTectal turns complex clinical ideas into case-based learning, simulations, and digital experiences people can explore, practice, and remember.

Why interactive learning
Clinical education should feel closer to clinical thinking.
Clinical work is active. People observe, compare, decide, and adjust. Too much clinical education still asks them to sit back and consume information.
PreTectal is an interactive clinical education agency. We combine clinical insight, learning design, and product development to create experiences that invite a learner to do something with the material—not simply move to the next slide.
See what we createMake the learner decide
Cases, questions, and branching choices turn passive material into active clinical reasoning.
Make the invisible visible
Interaction and visual explanation reveal the relationships a slide deck or PDF can flatten.
Stay close to clinical work
Every experience starts with the decisions, uncertainty, and feedback that shape real practice.

Agency capabilities
From subject-matter expertise to active learning.
Strategy, learning design, and production for healthcare organizations, professional associations, educators, and clinical brands.
Learning strategy
We clarify the audience, clinical behavior, and evidence of learning before choosing a format or technology.
Case and curriculum design
We shape subject-matter expertise into cases, decisions, feedback, and a sequence that builds judgment over time.
Interactive experience design
We design and build responsive modules, simulations, visual explainers, and tools learners can use on any device.
Continuing education
We develop focused professional learning for clinicians who need practical depth without another generic course library.
Content systems
We create reusable case structures, content models, and production workflows so strong learning can scale consistently.
Evaluation and improvement
We instrument the experience, study where learners hesitate or improve, and use that evidence to guide the next version.
Clinical insight, product thinking
Eugene Huang, O.D.
Optometrist and digital product builder creating more active ways to learn clinical material.
Eugene Huang, O.D., founded PreTectal to bring clinical understanding closer to the design of digital education. His work combines subject-matter insight with product strategy, interaction design, and hands-on development.
The name comes from the pretectal area—the part of the brain that helps vision adapt when light changes. That idea guides the agency: notice the signal, respond to the learner, and keep the clinical work in focus.
